A concert as part of the Evenings of Chamber Music series will feature songs by Bohuslav Martinů arranged for violin, saxophone, and piano. In addition to the songs, instrumental pieces will also be performed by SH Trio, consisting of Vojtěch Racek (piano), Michael Jermář (saxophone), and Anna Poulová (violin). The event will take place in the municipal hall in Černošice, Vráž, starting at 6:00 PM.
BIOGRAPHY
Baritone Martin Vydra studied classical singing at the Prague Conservatory and continued his studies at the First Faculty of Medicine and the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. During his studies, he participated in several projects both in the Czech Republic and abroad as a member of the renowned Czech vocal ensemble Martinů Voices and the Prague Philharmonic Choir.
He collaborated with Children’s Opera Prague in educational projects of the National Theatre and performed with Boni Pueri, Prague Madrigalists, the German baroque ensemble Hoffkapele Schloss Seehaus, the Czech baroque group Victoria Ensemble, Berg Orchestra, the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Brazilian National Symphony Orchestra and the United States Army Choir and Orchestra.
He is a graduate of vocal courses organized by the Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo and pursued further private studies with the German singer and harpsichordist Johannes Weiss. He is a laureate of the Bohuslav Martinů Competitionand the Prague Singer Competition. Martin Vydra specializes in concert repertoire, with a particular focus on song recitals, which he performs both in the Czech Republic and internationally (Austria, Germany, Spain, Brazil, the USA, and Japan).
